One Response to “Albert Bartlett on population, peak oil and the exponential function”

  1. Steven Earl Salmony Says:

The science and global perspective of Al Bartlett are second to none. As he demonstrates so clearly, the family of humanity has a huge challenge, one that is getting larger and more forbidding very fast. In the face of this particular challenge, elective mutism and deafening silence are examples of an enemy of people everywhere, life as we know it and the integrity of Earth.

Everyone at PMC knows what this particular challenge is, I suppose. If foresighted, courageous people like Al keep speaking out loudly and often, perhaps a much larger audience will be given a chance to carefully and skillfully consider this challenge to human and environmental health, to take the measure of it in a timely fashion, and then to respond humanely and ably to this distinctly human-induced challenge before it presents itself to the human community as patently unsustainable.
