Dr. Richard Watts of the UVM Transportation Center will speak on the high contribution of Vermont’s transportation sector to greenhouse gas production. Transportation represents 44% of emissions in Vermont, compared with a national average of 26%. Is the health of Vermont’s economy predicated in part on increasing Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT)?
