Books denouncing harmful traditional practices published

Addis Ababa (December 5, 2009) – Population Media Center announced last week that it was preparing to publish books that tell stories reflecting on social problems that affect the health of women and children.

The Center launched at Ghion Hotel last week two anthologies of short stories on harmful traditional practices. Speaking on behalf of the center, Dr. Negusse Tefera, said that the Center would publish more books on the same issue for the purpose of encouraging writers to write more and to provide the community with more information on traditional practices that threaten the health of women and children.
