Several people sent PMC the link to a recent NPR hosted blog entry, written by NPR science correspondent Robert Krulich. It is titled “The Big Squeeze: Can Cities Save The World” and features some compelling photography of extremely dense housing and also some of the content of the PMC Daily Email of August 15th, 2012 (i.e. population density infographics). Krulich concludes his remarks by stating that: “…the bottom line is, we have become very numerous. The other day, The New Yorker magazine ran a cartoon that . The doctor finishes the examination, sighs, and says sadly, ‘I’m afraid you have humans.’ The Earth doesn’t look too pleased.” The blog is worth a look:
