Gambia family planning adviser hails training scheme
The leader of the most prominent family planning campaign group in Gambia has praised the success of a new training scheme.
Experts from the Gambia Family Planning Association held a training scheme that lasted two days, equipping local health workers in the capital of Banjul with the knowledge and skills they need to encourage family planning, reports the Daily Observer.
Its executive director Yankuba Dibba explained that the initiative was very welcome and came at the perfect time, given the country’s drive to tackle reproductive health issues and diseases such as HIV and Aids.
