AGRA: The Shiv Sena unit of Uttar Pradesh has reacted sharply to media reports that claimed the party was identifying Hindu families having 10 or more children and would offer them Rs 21,000 as cash rewards.
A day after the report created ripples in the state’s political circles with the BJP hurriedly distancing itself from the entire controversy, Singh said his party’s fight was against family planning measures forced on the Hindus alone.
Talking to TOI, Sena’s UP chief Anil Singh said, “I would like to clear my stand on the alleged distribution of doles. Shiv Sena is not supposed to give any money to any Hindu family for having more children.”
