The inside of the office and its equipment were significantly damaged, police said.
“It was closed today and it will be for an amount of time,” Claremont Police Chief Alexander Scott said Wednesday afternoon.
Because the vandal is a juvenile, police are not releasing the suspect’s name, age or gender, Scott said.
“Today’s damage was particularly extensive, including the use of a hatchet to destroy computers, furniture, plumbing fixtures, office equipment, medical equipment, phone lines, windows and walls,” Scott said in a news release.
