Activist takes overpopulation message to China
When Karen Shragg returned from a trip to China last month, she knew she was advocating for the right cause.

The environmental author and manager of Richfield’s Wood Lake Nature Center was addressing the topic of her latest book, “Move Upstream: A Call to Solve Overpopulation,” as the wildlife expert made an observation: There was no wildlife.

In China, the land was in production to support the country’s 1.4 billion people. And even in that countryside, “we could hardly see the stars in the sky because of all the pollution,” Shragg said.
