Population Media Center (PMC), a US-based nonprofit that uses entertainment to improve the rights of women and girls and protect the environment, is pleased to announce a new member of the headquarters team. Molly Frizzell has joined PMC as Program and Partnership Development Associate.
“With the release of PMC’s Vision 2025 growth plan, we are ready to expand and build new partnerships,” says Stephanie Tholand, PMC’s Director of Program and Partnership Development. “I’m thrilled to have Molly on board to support these efforts and help us uncover and convert new opportunities.”
PMC is a nonprofit leader in entertainment-education, dedicated to women’s rights and empowerment, population stabilization, and the environment. For the past two decades, PMC’s entertainment programming has promoted social and cultural change, which fits well with Frizzell’s experience and her personal and professional commitment to social causes.
“Mass media and creative communication are incredible tools for community empowerment,” says Frizzell. “I was immediately inspired by PMC’s commitment to global sustainability through entertainment-education. The organization’s culturally nuanced methodology has influenced real behavior change and positive health outcomes all over the world, and I’m excited to be a part of that mission.”
Frizzell has over seven years of program and partnership development experience in both non-profit and mass media contexts. In addition to recent behavior change communication on a community level, she says she discovered the power of content to change lives on a national scale as a marketer integrating health messaging into serial dramas at Univision Communications, Inc.
“Her zeal for our work combined with excellent project management and outreach skills are adding a great boost to our new program development plans,” says Tholand. Frizzell’s knowledge of both program and partnership development and marketing experience are a powerful combination.
“I look forward to growing my partnership building and multicultural communications experience within an international development context. There are so many interconnected, complex issues tied to this field, and I’m thrilled to help PMC expand to new markets.”
