Employment Opportunity: Director of Research, Evaluation, and Impact

Population Media Center (PMC) is seeking a Director of Research, Evaluation, and Impact.

Position Summary:

The Director of Research, Evaluation, and Impact is responsible for the overall quality of PMC’s qualitative and quantitative research discipline. The position oversees all aspects of PMC research including developing terms of reference, overseeing in-country research contracts, developing Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) plans, conducting in-country trainings and capacity building, and analyzing and disseminating impact results that inform future programs. The position involves travel to developing countries where PMC programs are active. The position also involves designing and facilitating qualitative and quantitative research for PMC projects worldwide and preparing the results of evaluation studies for publication in peer-reviewed journals.  The position reports to the Executive Vice President.

Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree in public health, communication, social science, or another related field (doctorate preferred); ten or more years of experience in the design, management, and implementation of behavior change communication research studies in the U.S. and in developing countries; proficiency in French or Spanish.  Other combinations of education and experience that would alternatively qualify the candidate will be considered.
