Drama comes in all shapes and sizes. At Population Media Center, we also create dramas for TV.

Although much of Population Media Center’s work focuses on radio dramas in developing countries, we also produce for TV. This scene is from Ultimo Año (“Last Year”) which premiered on MTV Latin America in September of 2012 with an estimated audience reach of 22 million households. PMC co-produced this 70-episode TV program with MTV Latin America, and the show was also broadcast on MTV’s Latino station in the United States starting in February, 2013. The show addressed teen pregnancy, HIV/AIDS and STDs, domestic violence, and more. Within the first month of broadcast, Ultimo Año‘s website recorded 324,000 visits and 1.4 million page views. It also ranked #4 on MTV Latin America’s website.
