The Arcus Foundation is a private grant-making institution established in 2000 and located in New York. They are dedicated to upholding the inherent value and worth of all living beings. The Great Apes Program, an Arcus Foundation initiative and funder of PMC, believes that non-human animals experience emotions in various forms and have the right to live free of cruelty, abuse, or ownership by mankind.
