TREE AID sees poverty and environmental protection as inseparable issues and approach these issues with what they call a “Two for One” solution, which breaks the cycle of poverty and the progression of environmental decline. TREE AID incorporates four key themes into all of their projects: 1. access and rights to natural resources, 2. looking after the environment, 3. nutrition and food security, and 4. enterprise and trade. They work in the drylands of Africa, including Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Mali and Niger, where the need is the highest and they can have the greatest impact.
