Hanh Trinh Xanh

PMC provided a PMC training to support the production of Hanh Trinh Xanh (“Green Journey”), a 100-episode radio show produced in Vietnam. This training took place in Hanoi, Vietnam from May 5-12, 2011.

Voice of Vietnam (VOV), the national radio broadcaster in Vietnam, asked PMC to conduct a PMC training for VOV scriptwriters focusing on creating characters and story arcs for the program using PMC’s methodology. Hanh Trinh Xanh was a 100-episode radio show that aired once per week in Vietnamese on the three stations of Voice of Vietnam (VOV1, VOV2, and VOV3), covering all 64 provinces and cities in Vietnam. The drama focused on how to adapt to climate change and increasingly frequent natural disasters and ran from July 2011 until June 2013.

PMC has trained other organizations to create entertaining TV and radio shows that impact health and human rights issues.

Making a Difference

Hanh Trinh Xanh was covered by international media outlets as an example of how to provide information to large numbers of people. After each episode, listeners were encouraged to share their personal agricultural challenges via text messages.
