Mary El-Afandi

Research Associate

Mary collaborates with country teams and external partners to develop surveys and monitor data collection. Working with Population Media Center’s Technical Research Unit, she evaluates radio serial dramas, radio talk shows and other projects. The team analyzes data and shares the results to demonstrate the impact of PMC’s programs. Internally, Mary works on designing learning sessions to facilitate understanding of research methods and terminology and the value that it brings to PMC and its members.

In her free time, Mary enjoys hiking in regional and state parks with her husband Mo. She also enjoys gardening, cooking, knitting, and reading.
