Tom Kazungu

Country Director, Kenya

Tom has been in the world of entertainment education for several decades with PMC and with other similar organizations. Currently, Tom manages daily activities for PMC-Kenya. He coordinates creative teams for writing and production, trains scriptwriters and actors in PMC methodology, and works with the program and partnership development team at headquarters on fundraising for new projects. After completing a project, he also assists in coordinating the endline research to monitor and evaluate shows and campaigns.  Additionally, Tom oversees PMC-Kenya finances with the finance officer and ensures that an audit is done each year for a report to Kenya’s national NGOs Coordination Board.

Previously for PMC, Tom led training sessions in Botswana, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Zambia, and Uganda. He “has a passion for radio drama” and enjoys bringing formative characters to life.

Tom enjoys meeting many creative people in the various countries he has visited for PMC, forming friendships, and maintaining those contacts over the years.

OUT OF THE OFFICE 

Tom travels in Kenya to participate in small-scale farming and likes to visit nature parks in the country.

 One of Tom’s favorites is The Matarese Circle by Robert Ludlum.
