POPULATION MEDIA CENTER RELEASES 2024 Annual report

Sep 10, 2025

As we compiled our 2024 Annual Report, we reflected on both continuity and transformation at Population Media Center. With the transition early this year of our Founder, Bill Ryerson, to President Emeritus, and the appointment of Margot Fahnestock as our new President and CEO, we carry forward a remarkable legacy while embracing fresh momentum for the future.

From Zambia to Nepal, Liberia to Mexico, and beyond, our work in 2024 showed that stories can shift norms, empower women and youth, and catalyze lasting change. Whether through a radio drama sparking dialogue on gender-based violence, a comic book inspiring young people in schools, or a telenovela reaching millions across Latin America, each project demonstrates the extraordinary power of entertainment-education.

Together with our partners and supporters, we are expanding our reach, strengthening bold collaborations, and amplifying voices too often left unheard. Every narrative we tell is more than entertainment—it’s a step toward a healthier, more just, and sustainable world for all.

We invite you to explore these stories, meet the communities shaping them, and see how your support brings this vital work to life.
