Population Media Center (PMC) has been instrumental in Liberia, utilizing entertainment-education strategies to address critical social issues. Through engaging radio and television programs, PMC promotes messages about reproductive health, gender equality, and environmental sustainability, sparking conversations and driving positive behavioral change. Their innovative approach harnesses the power of media to empower communities, ultimately contributing to Liberia’s social development and well-being.

Supported by The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency and in collaboration with Talking Drum Studio: Liberia Peace Center with the radio program “Barnusiethedeh!” (“Let’s Do The Right Thing”), the groundbreaking radio program is set to broadcast across all 15 counties of Liberia. This 156-episode drama, airing on 35 community radio stations, delves deep into societal issues, shedding light on topics such as sexual and reproductive rights, gender-based violence, gender equity, social cohesion, and conflict resolution. Through a partnership blending PMC’s renowned Social Behavior Change methodology and TDS Liberia’s trusted media platform, the project aims to foster positive change by engaging listeners with relatable characters and real-world dilemmas
