PMC Welcomes Mary Fafard as Digital Marketing and Advocacy Manager
Population Media Center (PMC), an international nonprofit implementing entertainment-education to improve the rights of women and girls and environmental sustainability, is pleased to announce the addition of Mary Fafard in the new role of Digital Marketing & Advocacy Manager. Fafard’s addition to the Marketing and Communications team will be significant as PMC seeks to evolve its marketing and digital content approaches.
Fafard earned her B.S. in Communications and Community Media from Johnson State College (now Northern Vermont University) and is working toward an M.B.A. from Castleton University. Fafard’s most recent position was Digital Content Coordinator at Northern Vermont University, where she oversaw the university’s electronic media. Her professional interests are grounded in storytelling and community engagement.
“Sharing stories that inspire or educate others is my favorite aspect of this work,” says Fafard. “I’m looking forward to new and creative ways to tell PMC stories.”
“We’re thrilled to have Mary join the PMC team,” says Missie Thurston, Director of Marketing & Communications at PMC. “She brings with her valuable experiences and expertise that will undoubtedly propel PMC forward as we look to engage and mobilize audiences around these crucial issues.”
Outside of work, Fafard is often hiking, running, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
