Staff Spotlight: Natalia Cereser
We spoke to Natalia Cereser this month about her life in Guatemala, her work for PMC, and her work running a world class marketing agency.
What is your name and positions with PMC and Lafábrica&Jotabequ/GREY?
I am Natalia Cereser, and I am the Resident Representative for PMC-Guatemala. I am also the General Manager at Lafábrica&jotabequ/GREY. These two organizations have been working together for over five years now.
What is your favorite thing about working with PMC?
I love the way we work together, the PMC methodology, and the way we are all so passionate about making the world a better place by helping people improve their lives.
What does a typical PMC workday look like for you?
My work is a little different than other offices since I split my time between running the agency, coordinating clients, and working on projects for PMC. Designing plans and thinking about new trends and data can help our methods evolve and help us connect to audiences — this is what I really love.
What is one of the biggest challenges of your job?
Fundraising for programs in our country — there are so many worthy causes. Also, having patience for long processes. In the advertising world, things just move faster.
Why did you decide to partner with PMC?
I’ve been in love with PMC since my first meeting when I learned about the methodology, results, projects, and the use of entertainment and media to develop change. This work combines my favorite things together. Plus, PMC is a very personal organization, we all know and help each other.
Tell us a little about your childhood, family, or favorite things to do outside of PMC.
I was born in Argentina and came with my parents to Guatemala when I was three months old — so I grew up across two countries and I have extended family all over Latin America. I live with my husband, married 20 years this year, and my two boys, but we are always together with my parents and relatives. We love spending time together in our beach house or broiling a good steak with wine on Sundays.
Is there anything else you would like to share about yourself or your work?
I love being part of PMC. It’s such a great organization. The way everybody shares their knowledge and friendship here is so lovely.
