Population Media Center Adds Marketing Associate, Kyle Bodge
Population Media Center (PMC) has expanded its Marketing and Communications team, welcoming Kyle Bodge to the role of Marketing Associate. A recent graduate from the University of Vermont with a BS in Health Sciences, Bodge has three years of publicity coordination, social media management, and graphic design experience for multiple student organizations. These skills come at a valuable time as PMC continues to evolve its marketing approaches.
PMC is a US-based nonprofit using entertainment-education to further goals of improving women’s rights, stabilizing the population, and protecting the environment. These emphases on advocacy and human services were a significant draw, says Bodge, who recently completed internships with the Pride Center of Vermont and UVM Health Network Home Health & Hospice.
Bodge views the opportunity to expand from state work into international advocacy as room to develop. “I’m accustomed to marketing for small, tight-knit programs in Vermont, so my audience has grown a lot larger coming to PMC! I anticipate growing with them as I explore communicating with such a large, widespread community.”
When asked about what excites him to work with PMC, Bodge highlights diversity of opportunities. “PMC is focusing on a few key issues, but there are so many contributing factors to those issues in which there’s opportunities to make change.”
This dedication to change was echoed by Missie Thurston, Director of Marketing & Communications. “His passion for public health and commitment to positive change is evident, and we’re thrilled to have him – his passion and skillsets – as part of the team to help us advance PMC’s mission.”
Outside of work, Bodge can be found drawing, baking, or exploring jelly making with fruit or edible flowers.
