PMC in United States

PMC was founded in the United States in 1998. The US has a population of more than 321 million and its current annual rate of growth will double the population in 98 years if left unchanged.

PMC broadcast a serial drama on, East Los High, that consistently ranked as one of the most popular programs on Hulu. It was the first Hollywood production to feature an all Latino cast and resulted in more than 25,000 people using planned parenthood widgets to find out if they should be tested for sexually transmitted infections or for pregnancy in its first month of broadcast. PMC has also reached large numbers of Americans in major media markets through advocacy projects, such as the worldwide Global Population Speak Out campaign and PMC’s Population News Strategy that has placed population experts on radio stations across the US for 2000+ syndicated broadcasts.

Population Media Center's drama on resulted in more than 24,000 people using planned parenthood widgets from the drama website in the first month of broadcast.
